200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Grass Roots will be hosting its next Yoga Teacher Training in the spring of 2021! This 200 Hour Program (RYT 200) is registered through Yoga Alliance and prepares students to begin the yoga teaching journey.

The program is rooted in Vinyasa yoga, but also includes Yin, Restorative, Shamata meditation, and some Viniyoga teachings. A 200-Hour program is necessary for anyone wanting to teach, but also highly recommended for students with a desire to deepen their own personal practice. It’s truly a life-changing experience for those willing to take the plunge.

Basic yoga experience and general fitness level is recommended to best receive and participate in the training.

When many of us think of yoga we picture mats, poses and physical transitions. And for most, the physicality of the practice is the gateway…we begin in our bodies, and if we keep coming back there enough, we discover another world that lives beneath the physical. The practice on the mat begins the journey to the self, where stillness and pure love abide. This training will be exactly what you need and exactly what you’ve been looking for, you’ll feel it and you’ll know this is for you. Together, we will awaken your mind and body to its highest potential, and create pathways for exploration and growth- pathways for the practice of yoga off the mat every day. Vinyasa flow, as well as yin and restorative work, creates the framework to live in the body and the breath, and the Grass Roots Sangha, or spiritual community, builds the foundation from which to grow.

It’s an honor to offer our space in this way, and expertise as guides on the trek towards your highest self.
